Car failed asm test!!!!!

Ralph
Car failed asm test 15 and 25... High hc co and nox...
It was a 2001 volks jetta with complete monitors....the thing is if I would have tested this car with the new device that's coming out, it would've pass smog... Does t make any sense, why bring this new device and jeopardize our bussiness...  Every car needs a asm test....

The BAR says the way to clean the air is to fail more cars.
So of course the DAD system that will fail less cars will help
clean the air. Makes sense to me :)

Most all of us smog techs and some BAR Reps know very well the new DAD testing will in fact
allow a lot of vehicles to "pass" when the emissions are over the max
and in some cases gross polluters.
In 2011 there were over 79,000 vehicles, 1996 up to current model year, that failed emissions but
did NOT set a check engine light.
On the other hand there were over 200,000 vehicles that failed for a check engine light
and the emissions were below the max.
DAD will only be "back peddling" from what has been working for many years.
You are not alone in this frustrating fiasco the Assembly Bill 2289 has
created.

Bar dont know shit they cant even figure out there needs to be a idle test along with the asm you know how many cars ive tested that you cant breath when you pull them on the dyno and they pass the asm
